Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect through ocdiesel.com.au, why we collect it, where it is stored and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Who we are
OCDIESEL Pty Ltd supplies heavy mobile equipment maintenance, trades and labour services across Western Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean OCDIESEL Pty Ltd.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through a form on this website. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not buy personal information from third parties.
Client and service enquiries
Through our quote, callback and equipment hire forms we may collect: your name, company, phone number, email address, site or location, the type of service you need, and anything you write in the message field.
Job applications
Through our careers forms we may collect: your name, phone number, email address, roster preference, equipment and OEM experience, the role you applied for, any additional comments, and a copy of your resume if you choose to upload one.
Your resume may contain further personal information — such as your address, work history, qualifications, licences and referee details. We treat that information as confidential and use it only to assess your application.
Mailing list
If you subscribe to our weekly labour availability email we collect your name and email address.
Technical information
Our hosting provider automatically records standard web server information, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used for security and to keep the site running. This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run third-party analytics.
3. Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
- To arrange callbacks and mobilise technicians for breakdowns
- To assess job applications and contact candidates
- To send our weekly labour availability email, where you have asked for it
- To keep records required for our business and insurance purposes
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
4. Where your information goes
Form submissions from this website are processed and stored by Netlify, our website hosting provider, and are then sent to our staff by email. Our business email is provided by Microsoft 365.
Both providers store data on servers that may be located outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. By submitting a form you consent to your information being disclosed to these providers for that purpose. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers with appropriate security practices.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. No form data is sent to Google.
We may also disclose your information where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
5. How we protect it
This website is served entirely over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so information you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to form submissions is limited to OCDIESEL staff who need it to do their job. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you have something highly sensitive to send us, please call us instead on 0439 343 806.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Unsuccessful job applications and resumes are kept only while they may be relevant to future roles, and are deleted on request.
7. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- delete your information, including your resume
- remove you from our mailing list
Email Admin@ocdiesel.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity first.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us at Admin@ocdiesel.com.au and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at ocdiesel.com.au/privacy, with the last updated date shown at the top.
